Miss Personality....

Now 8 months old, Riley is certainly FULL of personality!  She has so many faces and we adore each and every one.  We spent some time trying to capture them all to share with family and friends.  

An update on mom and dad... we had a wonderful time celebrating our 3rd Anniversary in Aruba. Thanks again to Nana and JoJo for taking care of Riley.  She had a ball.  

Our Little Traveler.....

From South Padre Island to Dallas.... Riley has been the perfect little traveler these past two weeks.  For Mommy and Daddy, it doesn't stop there.  We leave for Aruba on Saturday for our first week away from our little angel.  Is it possible she will forget us?  

Abby successfully made it to Alabama to join her new family and they are really enjoying her. We miss her terribly and hope to plan a trip to visit her later this summer.  

Riley is still changing everyday.  Matt and I sit and stare at her every evening in awe of how quickly she is growing up.  She seems to think we are very funny... and hearing her laugh is hands down the sweetest sound I've ever heard.

SEVEN MONTHS OLD and our SAD GOODBYE!

Riley turned 7 months old on the 15th of May.  We can't get over how quickly it is going by.  She definitely has us both wrapped around her finger! She has quickly learned how to get around by "scooting" across the floor.  She also LOVES to hear herself yell and clap her little feet together.   

Riley will fly in an airplane this weekend for her first time!  We are taking her down to South Padre Island to see the BEACH!  So look for those pictures in a few more days!

On a sad note... we are giving Abby to our good friends in Alabama.  It is a long sad story, but Abby doesn't get along with the neighborhood dogs and we had to find her a new home.  It has been extremely hard on us all.  We'll miss you Abby!!!  We love you.  :(

Birthdays, Spots, and Sitting Up!!!

A lot has happened since our last post.  Who am I kidding.... something is ALWAYS happening at the Harpers House!  Let's see how I can best sum it up.  Matt turned 35.  Riley got a VERY mild case of Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease.  (hence the "spots").  We finally started feeding her in her high chair, which she is still getting used to.  AND... we are wearing BOWS in our hair... yes Nana.... I said BOWS!  :)  

Most importantly - Riley is now sitting up! Oh... and I took her to the dr last week when she got the "spots" and she is weighing in at 19 lbs.  No doubt she is a Harper!  Enjoy the updated pictures.  We'd love to hear from you all!

WARDROBE!!!

One thing is for certain... Riley has more clothes than anyone I've ever met!  We can hardly get her in everything once before she outgrows it.  Lately we've been changing her outfit twice a day if necessary.  Hee hee, gotta love having a girl!  She looks precious in everything, even just a diaper and some shades.

Riley's First Easter

What a weekend!  We had a neighborhood egg hunt - which Riley could've cared less about. Mom was out there pushing over the 18 month old... fighting for eggs for Riley!  Dad ate all of Riley's chocolate!  Riley also had ZERO interest in the Easter Bunny.  She never even looked at him.  ha. We bought Riley a Little Tikes swing for Easter - Matt is mad because it is pink!  What other color was I supposed to get?  Blue??  

Our biggest concern this week is that Riley may be getting too skinny.  YA RIGHT!!!!!  :)  Look at these rollssssssssss!

She counts!!

Well... Riley got sick for her first time last week!  :(  It was horrible.  She had 102* temperature and diarrhea.  It has definitely thrown a wrench in her sleeping habits and Mommy is very tired from waking up with her at night.  We ALMOST made it six months with out so much as a cold! 

Riley's new and adorable thing to do is count! She LOVES looking at her fingers and is always holding up a #1!!!
